We undertook to install two sewage treatment plants and bespoke soakaways; one for the old house next door and another for the new build. Working through a very wet November, we cleared the ground and prepared for the footings and then, in a snowy and frozen new year, we excavated the footings, installed drainage and radon systems, Nudura rising walls and laid the slab.
The ICF structure and floors were completed ahead of schedule but as we moved onto the internal finishes, COVID struck. Client selected materials became unavailable, lone working became a project manager’s nightmare and late changes due to building regulations inspections meant that progress slowed down however the finished product was handed over to the client in 2021 with smile all around. Our first and last turnkey development but the end result was well worth the challenges involved.
